I am writing this post using Safari 3 Beta for Windows, and it works EXTREMELY well.  I am always wary of beta software, except when it comes from Apple.  It always seems to work without any sort of a hitch.  Just goes to show that it is possible to write good, stable software.  Microsoft should take note (link).  Except I don’t think Java is fully functioning yet…

I’ve been on hiatus for the past couple of days with graduation and getting ready to move back to Atlanta for the summer. I will post more later. For now, here’s some pictures from date night yesterday (link).

The Geek Within

I finally posted pictures of my final project on the DAAPWorks website (link). Below is picture of my entire exhibit.

I bought a Nintendo Wii yesterday. I just happened to go to Meijer to have my passport photos taken the same time they were unpacking a new shipment. It was the only one at the store. I had to buy it. It’s so much fun, my dad and I played about three rounds of bowling and half a round golf together. My dad is in no way a gamer either. It has Wi-Fi, which I wasn’t expecting. The Wii Remote is the coolest part. I love it, I’m gushing with geekiness.

I’m sorry, my coffee table crashed

I have to admit, this is pretty cool: http://www.microsoft.com/surface/. Called the “Surface Computer,” it is a tabletop touch screen system that allows users to interact with digital content using gestures. This must have been developed by some special team that they kept locked up at Microsoft so that no one else could interfere and screw it up.
Does this mean I should take back what I said about Microsoft in last week’s post? No, I don’t think so. It’s Microsoft, they’ll screw it up somehow. I can’t wait for the day when my coffee table will crash and taunt me with the blue screen of death.
